Quick & Easy Tuesdays

I know it's been a few Tuesdays since you've heard from me and I apologize for that. I was taking a trip and got busy planning for that and finishing up a few orders before I left. Anyway, here's a pretty little gift package I created that holds 6 mini note cards & envelopes. Choose your favourite double-sided paper (I recommend Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper) and pull your colour scheme from the paper to create your cards.

Here are all the cards I created. I used the Timeless Textures stamp set and I'm happy to report is in the new Annual Catalogue! It's such a versatile set and as you can see below, you can create all sorts of collage stamping with just one set! I had a lot of fun just stamping and then added a few small embellishments to a some of the cards. To coordinate, I added some paper to the flaps of all the envelopes. I love doing that for special projects!

Lastly, here's a better look at my favourite design. I just love all the different types of stamp images that come in this set and how you use them to "colour" different aspects of each stamp set.

Here's a quick video on how to put together the little pouch. I've added the written dimensions in the YouTube description.... just take note that one of the measurements I said in the video is wrong - the right measurement is 1-3/4", not 2-1/4". ;)

Until next time, stay crafty!

It's a Boy!

Recently, I was commissioned to create a bunch of baby cards for a customer. They were a gift to a mom-to-be who was having a boy. I enjoyed working on them, here's one of the designs I created.

I started with a neutral layer and randomly stamped a background using two of my favourite collage stamps - Gorgeous Grunge & Timeless Textures. The "baby" lettering was easily created with the Layered Letters Alphabet. The photopolymer stamp sets are perfect because you can see exactly where you're stamping!

The stars are from a retired set, but the images are perfect. A current substitute could be the Be the Stars set - it has both images and sentiments.

Until next time, stay crafty!

Timeless Textures

One of my favourite new stamp sets is Timeless Textures - love the endless possibilities you can create with it! Think it's too "grungy" looking? Check out this baby card I created:

I really LOVE how this turned out. The card came together quickly (the DSP layer, silver backing and bow were pieces left over from other card kits I had laying around). To create the collage background, I used the masking tape looking stamp to stamp around the entire edge, full strength. The graphic image was stamped off first.

It's hard to tell in the photo, but there is some glimmer throughout, thanks to the Wink of Stella clear glitter brush. :) Using the small splatter image from the same set, I "inked" it up by just brushing the glitter right on the stamp and then stamping it randomly around the card base and up the right side on the inner layer.

To finish things off, I added a little more sparkle with a few jewels (on the wheels of the carriage) and a bow.

Until next time, stay crafty!
