Happy New Year... Almost!

It's time for our monthly Blog Hop! I can't believe how fast the time is going by... the holidays are almost here and 2019 is just around the corner! To celebrate, I created a card for this month's Stamping Symphony Blog Hop. Check it out:

It's a fairly simple card & uses mostly paper... lots & lots of beautiful glimmer & shimmer on this card! I die cut several pennants from various papers using the Playful Pennants Thinlits Dies & my Big Shot. I opted not to use the coordinating stamp set (Pick A Pennant) on this card.

Here's a better look at all that shimmer. It was difficult to get it all to show up at the same time. I didn't have a "Happy New Year" stamp (and again, I could've stamped that with the coordinating Pick A Pennant Stamp Set), but I chose to use a sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings instead. I think it works AND I definitely recommend that stamp set in your stash.

Did you notice those numbers on the card? I cut those out from the Broadway Bound Speciality Designer Series Paper.

On the inside, I left plenty of room for a message and added a couple more pennants to the top. Clean & simple!

Here's one last look at some of the elements. To make that "celebrate" pop a little, I die cut one from black & one from white & offset them slightly. It makes it look a little 3D, but without all that bulk!

So, that's it from me today. Thanks for stopping by & make sure you hop along to all the other awesome people below. ;)

Holiday Catalogue Blog Hop

Welcome to another Stamping Symphony Blog Hop! This month we're sharing projects using Holiday Catalogue goodness. If you still need a copy, let me know... or check it out online here.

I'm sharing a Christmas card project using lots of wonderful products, including some scripted word dies. These have been sooooo popular and are currently on back order. But don't worry, you can still order them and they'd ship out before the end of November. ;)

I started with a Gray Granite card base (5-1/2" x 4-1/4") and Cherry Cobbler layer (5-1/4" x 4") and then I did some stamping in Cherry Cobbler on a DSP layer (5-1/8" x 3-7/8") using the swirly image from the Merry Christmas to All stamp set.

I layered all my pieces of ribbon & trim together and then popped my die cut & embossed circle over top. After stamping "merry" on a piece of Whisper White (3/4" wide) I flagged the ends with my Snips and adhered to my circle with my die cut "Christmas". Check out the video below on a trick for that!

Of course you never should forget the inside of the card either... I kept it pretty simple, but brought in a strip of the DSP again and stamped in Cherry Cobbler & Gray Granite inks.

Did you notice that gold shimmer along the edges of the card base & layers of the card? That's the Vegas Gold Shimmer Paint... it's been described as Wink of Stella on steroids. It's AMAZING and you're going to want to have some in your crafty stash. We carry it in four colours. Again, check out the video for some tips & tricks on how I applied it.

Here's a video walk-through of how I created the card. This was one of my #FastAndFabulous videos from a few weeks ago on my Facebook Page. Check it out!

I hope you enjoyed this project, I really love the rustic/country look of this card and I hope you do too! Don't forget to hop along and get some more inspiration!

Happy Halloween Blog Hop

Hello! We're back again this month with another Blog Hop. Thanks for joining us - hop along as we share our Halloween projects with you. I love, love, LOVE Halloween, but I don't often do a lot of cards. I was going to share a gift package idea, but then I thought a scrapbooking layout would be perfect.

I kept the layout pretty simple to focus on the costumes. I snuck in lots of little details, so let's take a closer look...

For my "title", I used the Eclipse Technique as a subtle way to display the year. I really love how that turned out.

I added some detail with the Making Every Day Bright stamp set. There are stamps there for every occasion AND with the coordinating Christmas Bulb Builder Punch, you can can make all sorts of light strands.

Lastly, I wanted to point out all the little spider webs I added to the photos using the Seasonal Tags Framelits Dies and covered them (and the light bulbs) with some Wink of Stella.

I hope you enjoyed this layout, now hop along and get some more inspiration!
