I love the Stampin' Up! Catalogues! So many pretty things to look at and great inspiration too. Sometimes I love something so much, I've just gotta CASE it. This card is from the Home for Christmas product suite. I CASEd the card down in the front, with a few modifications.
I kept my card a standard A2, thus being able to make a larger tag. I liked seeing more of the scalloped top, so I moved my bow down further and left room for some Cherry Cobbler Thick Baker's Twine. I coloured the stamp from the Cozy Christmas stamp set using Stampin' Write Markers.
Before gluing my DSP down, I stamped one of the images from Gorgeous Grunge - love that set for quick & easy texture. I popped the tag up with Dimensionals and then fringed the ends of my baker's twine.
To finish things off, I added a few Enamel Dots from the same suite and stamped a little more grunge on the inside. This is one of three cards we'll be making in tomorrow's class. :)
Until next time, stay crafty!

The NEW 2014-2015 Catty!
Well, the night finally happened! Last night I was able to attend the Canadian Catalogue Premier in Mississauga. Even though I would've been able to view the online version today, there's nothing like getting the actual book! Lucky for me, I also walked away with two new stamp sets!!
This morning I had a snuggle with my 4-year-old daughter (and also an avid crafter!) and we looked through the catty together, making our wish list. Of course we want it all!! It is absolutely the best catalogue ever. For many reasons.
The number one thing I'm excited about is the organization of it. Not only is it organized by occasion (!!!), there are also tons of samples and techniques, how to's and more. Sections are often further broken down by "beginner", "casual" and "avid" paper crafters, and when projects are listed, the catty provides a breakdown of everything you need to make that exact project! The indexes are also fabulous - there's a picture sentiment index (!!!) and an accessories index too! LOVE!!
Once again, SU! offers some bundles where you can save 15% when purchasing certain products together, lots of amazing kits, there's a bigger MDS influence and lots of fun new toys to enjoy.
Over the next couple of days, I'll be playing with my new stamp sets and then hopefully I'll be getting my pre-order of a couple additional items next week. I'm excited to be sharing the projects with you.
Until next time, stay crafty!

P.S. The catalogue goes live June 1st!

Today's the Day!

New Catalogue Day!! So excited that June 1st is here. Today, the new 2012/2013 Stampin' Up! Catalogue goes live and the products are available for purchase after noon MT (SU! has to update it's online ordering system with all the new goodies!).
As if the new Catty wasn't enough, there are several other great promotions too! There is even more incentive now to host a Stampin' Up! party, or join in the fun!
If you host a qualifying party of $575 or more (before taxes and shipping), you earn an EXTRA $60 in hostess benefits! That's a total of $150 PLUS 1 item at 50% off... you can spend your hostess benefits on anything you want in the catalogue! How awesome is that?! This promotion will run for the months of June & July. So gather up some friends and contact me today to book a party!
Now is also the time to join in on the fun! Whether you want to sign-up to start a business, or just want to support your crafting
Until next time, happy crafting!
