As promised in yesterday's YouTube video (see below), here are pictures of all my Paper Pumpkin alternative projects I came up with. If you received the February 2018 kit, Wildflower Wishes, you may love some of these ideas. If you haven't received it, you should subscribe! Until March 31st, you can earn additional FREE products during Sale-A-Bration. See all the details below...
Above, I basically used all the pieces from the kit. You got so many floral stickers, they were screaming to be put onto a card! The only additional product I used here were some Narrow Note Cards and Envelopes. Do you see the "hi"? You get lots of letters in the kit (that aren't used on the projects)... I talk more about that later.
The next card also uses Note Cards & Envelopes, but these are the regular ones. I cut apart an envelope to get the floral background layer and the tag is from a past Paper Pumpkin kit. I used some scraps and the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch.
Here you can see how I cut apart one of the envelopes. Measuring from the bottom, I cut off 3". The bottom pocket was used for one project, pictured below, and the top piece is what I cut apart and used above.
For this pocket card, I used the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper and Crushed Curry Ink & Paper to coordinate with the flower. To cut the notches for the gift card, I easily cut those with dies from the Lots to Love Box Framelits.
I thought it would be fun to tuck a little stamping in behind the gift card area. A fun surprise for the recipient when the card is removed.
This last card is probably my favourite. To get the leaf detail on the card base, I used one of the "garbage" pieces from punchouts from the kit as a stencil, grabbed a Sponge Dauber and sponged on some colour. On the left, I ran a piece of Garden Green Card Stock through the Big Shot using the newly released freebie from Sale-A-Bration - the Basket Weave Dynamic Texture Embossing Folder. You too can can get this folder for free (plus a stamp set) with any $120 order. It'll also be in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue. ;)
To get the little basket, I punched a piece of Garden Green with the Pretty Label Punch, chopped it in half and cut off the bottom to make it flat, like a pot.
You might be wondering how I got those "p's" to spell happy. Well, I run it down for you in my video, but here is a still shot of all the letters you get in the kit and some of my favourite words you can spell with them. To get the "p's", you just need to turn the "d" from friend upside down. ;)
If you haven't checked out my video already, here it is:
