Paper Scraps for the Blog Hop

Happy Monday! Can't believe it's another monthly Blog Hop with the Stamping Symphony team. Summer is a busy one, so we all couldn't be here for this one, but I know you'll still enjoy hopping along. :)

A few days ago, I posted a video on my Facebook Page on a way to use up paper scraps... strips of scraps to be exact. If you didn't catch it, it's now up on my YouTube Channel and you can view it below:

After completing the projects in the video, I still had several strips left over, so I decided to create some more. Yesterday, I shared this photo tease on my Facebook Page:

Paper weaving brings me back to childhood, but I took it further when I ran it through my Big Shot using an oval frame die. :)

I will caution you to run this project through carefully as it's quite thick with all the card stock layers. While I ran it back and forth several times, it didn't actually cut all the way through, but gave me all the grooves I needed and was easy enough to trim with my snips. This die gave me three pieces and I'll showcase one of the cards with you today.

I used some of the products from the It Starts with Art suite. Just perfect for a crafter like me! I heat embossed the marker/pencil/Blends stamp and die cut them (it's one stamp, but the die cuts them individually - love that!). I wanted to elongate them a bit to fill up the space on my card front so I cut them in half and then hid that in behind the punch/sentiment combo, like so:

To finish this card off, I punched a label (mainly to hide what would be underneath) and die cut "thank you", which of course was winked with Wink of Stella. The ribbon used is retired, but that too was a scrap, so use what you've got!

I'll be back again the next couple of days (shocking, I know!) to show you the other two cards I made. Until then, be sure to hop along to see some more awesome products from the new catalogue. I've listed all the products I've used below - you can use any paper pack & ribbon you want. July is the perfect time to get items off your "wish list" because for every $60 you spend, you'll get a $6 coupon to spend in August. You're getting 10% back! If you don't have a demonstrator, I'd love for you to shop below and if you would like a copy of the new catalogue, please reach out!
