It's Sunday... so that means it's a new challenge over at
Sunday Stamps. This week Tara has got a great sketch for you and hope you'll pop on over and play along. This sketch was perfect because I needed a quick and easy birthday card... check it out:

Paper: Night of Navy, Whisper White, Pool Party, So Saffron Ink: Night of Navy, Pool Party, So Saffron Stamps: Happy You (Hostess), Merry Minis, Teeny Tiny Wishes Tools: Simply Scored, Borders Plate |
First thing I did was flip the sketch because I wanted to put my sentiment in one of the banners. I randomly stamped my images on a Whisper White piece of cs and then mounted it to a piece of So Saffron. Since I needed a "manly" birthday card, I didn't want to add a lot of embossing or ribbon, so I brought out my
Simply Scored Borders Plate. It's new in the Spring Catalogue and I love it! I added a zig zag across the top and then cut it out.
Now head on over to
Sunday Stamps to check out what the rest of the design team has created for some inspiration. Hope you'll play along with us!
Until next time, stay crafty!

Steph, I really like how you used the borders plate on your card. Great masculine card.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for a masculine card. I really like how you have randomly stamped the small image all over, it looks so effective.
ReplyDeleteGreat birthday card Steph. I like the way you changed the direction of the layout. It works really well with your stamped panel and sentiment layout. It's a real "feel good" card! TFS.
ReplyDeleteGreat card! I love the color combo and you take on the sketch.
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you for flipping the layout. It works so much better for your card this way and still meets the challenge. I love the colours and the happy-go-lucky every direction of the stamped cakes. TFS
ReplyDeleteGreat job. Great card!
ReplyDeleteLove that you rotated the sketch! Awesome card - looking forward to trying the borders plate!
ReplyDeleteGreat take on this week's card Steph! Love the colours you chose :)
