Broadway Bound

Happy Blog Hop! Welcome to another month and thanks for hopping along (you can find all the links to the other great projects below). This month we're focusing on new products... boy, oh BOY are there a lot of awesome goodies in the 2018/2019 Annual Catalogue! Anywho, moving on to the projects... I created a couple of projects using the new Broadway Bound Suite. Perhaps it caught your eye right away, or maybe when you heard of the Paper Pumpkin coordinating kit this month (I just received it today and it's AMAZING!). Maybe you haven't seen it yet... but I bet you're gonna love it! ;)

This suite of products is both fun and colourful. I love all the possibilities. For this first card, I kept a fairly neutral colour palette with a pop of Lemon Lime Twist. The Designer Series Paper in this suite is filled with gold foil accents. Did you know that when you brayer colour over top of it, it resists the ink? Cool, eh?!

I happened to have some shimmery black paper in my stash, but you can get a similar look with Wink of Stella. To accent the gold in the paper, I added slivers of Gold Foil behind the die cut marquee image and Gold Mini Sequin Trim & Cord as the balloon strings. I also heat embossed the gold dots on the "hooray" text.

For this second card, I used the same suite of products and got a totally different look! The only cutting I did here was the fussy cutting of the candles from the paper. I used the new Embossing Mat for the Big Shot and used the "wish" die to emboss with instead of cut out. Super cool!! Definitely takes your dies much further! I used a white gel pen to highlight the "lights".

I can't wait to play around with this suite some more... but for now, hop along to the other awesome ladies to see what they've created!
